Description

Centrally located, Autumn Leaves is set in a conservation area on a hillside a short walk  from  the famous Tunnels Beaches. From here, a pleasant half mile stroll will take you past Wildersmouth Beach and on towards the popular heritage harbour area of this delightful Victorian coastal town.  Here you will find shops, galleries, cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as fishing and pleasure trips. Damian Hirst’s ‘Verity’ sculpture provides an imposing sight at the entrance to the harbour. For active visitors the rugged terrain and coastal scenery of the National Trust Torrs and South West Coast Path are very nearby, whilst the indoor swimming pool and fitness centre and popular 18 hole Golf Club are both just a few minutes’ drive away.

This coastal themed North Devon holiday home is spacious for six guests and also has plenty of outside seating areas to relax, whilst the elevated position provides views from parts of the garden towards the coastline beyond the harbour.

The heart of this home is its open plan kitchen/living/dining room providing a sociable space for preparing meals and entertaining your family and friends. The comfortable sofas nestle by the wood burner, perfect after a spring or autumn day out exploring all that the North Devon and Exmoor coast and countryside has to offer.  The accommodation definitely offers flexible sleeping options for up to six guests with four bedrooms available. Open stairs from the living space lead to a half-landing with  a twin bedroom (which can also be set as a Superking – (please notify us of configuration required at the time of booking) and an attractive large family bathroom complete with underfloor heating, luxurious corner bath and walk-in shower. On the first floor are three stylish bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed plus ensuite shower room. The other two rooms comprise a double and single. All the bedrooms have plenty of storage space.

Please note: the house only sleeps up to six but has 4 bedrooms for flexible sleeping arrangements. 

Accessed by 25 steps up from the road/garage is the main front patio where you can enjoy al fresco dining with a cool glass of wine after a day’s adventure. The garden has a second seating area to the side and in addition to this up 30 steps from the front patio is a garden bench next to the small pond (fitted with a safety grill) at the very top of the garden. The lawns and borders are steep so please take care.  Due to the steep lawns and garden borders and open plan living the property is not suitable for very young children or babies. If you plan to bring your bikes or surfboards then please do as you will have the facility to store them in the garage. All in all Autumn Leaves is a perfect base for family and friends and is sure to become a favourite with guests.

Living/Dining area with soft seating, table and chairs for six guests, NowTv DVD and wood burning stove. Stairs to half landing: Bedroom 3 with Twin (zip ‘n’ link option to Superking on request), Bathroom with underfloor heating, corner bath, large shower cubicle, heated towel rail, WC and basin.  First floor: Bedroom 1 with King and ensuite shower room with walk in shower, heated towel rail, WC and basin. Bedroom 2 with Double. Bedroom 4 with Single.

Garden furniture. Secure Garden pond Private parking for 1 car in single garage with up-and-over electric door (max height 6 feet)). Parking space directly in front of the garage entrance, plus unrestricted road parking. Use of part of garage to store cycles and surfboards. Short breaks available between November and end of March. 3pm Arrival time.  Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Friday

Excellent property. Looked brand new inside and all the fixtures and fittings and decor had had no expense spared. The property had everything that you needed in it. Beds were very comfortable, loads of storage and the bathrooms were great. Plenty of room and nice terrace to sit on and have lunch. Highly recommend this House. Tunnel beaches were a 1 min walk away. Woolacombe beach 10 mins drive.
